Just your average mom.

I’m Laura!

I love DIY projects, organizing, roaming Target alone, and sign language! Over the past two years, I have taught hundreds of parents how to effectively use sign language with their babies and toddlers, allowing their babies to communicate their needs and wants from an earlier age than they can verbally.

“sign language is a dance with words, to be enjoyed from babyhood through childhood to adulthood”

-Marilyn Daniels

sweet, sweet words

Kara:

“Laura is organized, knowledgeable, and real. I love learning sign language from her so I can better communicate with my toddler. Even though he can “say” words, they sometimes sound the same. Using sign can help me distinguish between “peach” and “peas.” It builds his confidence in his ability to communicate and just makes for overall happier interactions!”

Victoria:

“Working with and learning from Laura was one of the best things we did during our baby girl’s first few months of life. We learned so much about the communication process and how simple it is to incorporate signing into our routines. Our baby, who was around 2 months old when we took the class, started to recognize signs (MILK and EAT) within weeks of being introduced to them. She’s now almost 8 months and we are still following Laura’s tips, and love that we are helping our baby learn to communicate with us in a way that will be beneficial forever!”

Veronica:

“Our family loves the seasonal signs workshops. Laura has helped us incorporate the signs as we decorate, read book, and do crafts. My 4 kids, ages 1-7, love to show Daddy the new signs they learn when he gets home and love to help remind each other (and me!) of the signs too. It has really helped build the little ones’ vocabulary and we even use signs Laura taught us to build our Spanish language vocabulary! The visual and verbal combo makes for very engaging and fun learning opportunities.
